A. Naomi Paik coedits the Borderlands section of Public Books. She is the author of two books, Bans, Walls, Raids, Sanctuary: Understanding U.S. Immigration for the Twenty-First Century (University of California Press, 2020) and Rightlessness: Testimony and Redress in U.S. Prison Camps since World War II (University of North Carolina Press, 2016), as well as articles, opinion pieces, and interviews in a range of academic and public-facing venues. She coedits The Politics of Sanctuary series sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution. She is an associate professor of Criminology, Law, & Justice and Global Asian Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago.
