Lilly Irani is an associate professor of communication and science studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she serves as the faculty director of the Labor Center. She has organized as part of the Transparent and Responsible Use of Surveillance Technology (TRUST) SD Coalition since 2019. She writes on the cultural politics of globalized innovation and development and the counterpractices they generate.
