Denva Gallant

Denva Gallant is Assistant Professor of Art History at Rice University. Her work examines late medieval Italian art, race, and the visual construction of Blackness. She is the author of Illuminating the Vitae patrum (2024) and is completing a second book on Black figures in the medieval imagination.
