Christian Lewis (they/them/theirs) teaches at Vassar College. They received their PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center. They are the author of Narrative Side-Stepping: Disability in the Novel Beyond Normalcy, forthcoming from Cornell University Press in 2026. Their work has appeared in NOVEL, Victorian Literature and Culture, Nineteenth Century Studies, Dickens Studies Annual, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and more.
