Michèle Lamont

Michèle Lamont edits the Sociology section of Public Books. She is professor of sociology and African American studies at Harvard; director, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs; and co-director, Successful Societies Program, Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. She is the past president of the American Sociological Association and the 2017 recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Prize. You can read more about her research here.
