Nathalie Frédéric Pierre is an assistant professor of African diaspora history at her undergraduate alma mater, Howard University. She is a 2023–2024 National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow. Her research examines Black sovereignty and free trade in an enslaved Atlantic World.
