Canay Özden-Schilling is an anthropologist of capitalism, energy, and technology. She teaches at Johns Hopkins University. Canay received her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in 2016. She is currently completing an ethnographic book on electricity trading in the United States.
