Marcy Schwartz

Marcy Schwartz is chair of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Rutgers University. She teaches service learning courses and leads reading programs with Hispanic inmates in local prisons through People and Stories / Gente y Cuentos. This essay draws on her research for her forthcoming book, Public Pages: Reading along the Latin American Streetscape.
