S. M. Amadae is currently a university lecturer in politics at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and a Berggruen Fellow working as a research affiliate at the Center for the Advanced Study of the Social and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Research interests include the nuclear-security dilemma, systemic discrimination, and developing cooperative social infrastructure. Her recent publication, “Life as Algorithm,” in Futures, edited by Sandra Kemp and Jenny Andersson (Oxford University Press, 2021), interrogates a contemporary view of human life as fundamentally algorithmic.
