Allison Lang

Allison Lang is currently a PhD candidate in the Sociology Program of UT Austin. She has a BA in political science, Spanish, Latin American and Caribbean studies, and international relations from the University of Michigan. She also has a Master’s in social policy from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her research interests are social movements, conflict, environmental sociology, and Latin America. Her current research is on the persistence of antimining movements in Argentina. She is the graduate student coordinator of the Power, History, and Society Working Group and a fellow of the Urban Ethnography Lab at UT Austin.
