Laura Forlano is an associate professor of design at the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology, where she is also director of the Critical Futures Lab. Her research is focused on the aesthetics and politics at the intersection of design, technology, material practices, and futures. She received her PhD in communications from Columbia University.
