Ali Alizadeh is Lecturer in Creative Writing at Monash University, Melbourne, where he is Director of the Centre for Australian and Postcolonial Writing. He is the author of Ashes in the Air (2011), shortlisted for the Australian Prime Minister’s Award in Literature in 2012. His new book is the work of fiction Transactions (2013).
