Ian Afflerbach is an associate professor at the University of North Georgia. His current book project, titled “Sellouts! The Story of an American Insult,” has led to articles in The Conversation, PMLA and African American Review. His first book, Making Liberalism New, was published with Johns Hopkins in 2021.
