Susan Fraiman is Professor of English at the University of Virginia. Her most recent book, Extreme Domesticity: A View from the Margins (2017), explores domestic precarity and creativity among queer, working-class, immigrant, and other marginal figures. Other works include Cool Men and the Second Sex (2003) and “Pussy Panic versus Liking Animals” (Critical Inquiry, 2012).
