Alix Beeston is reader in literature and visual culture at Cardiff University, where she researches and teaches feminist approaches to film, photography, and literature. She is the author of In and Out of Sight: Modernist Writing and the Photographic Unseen (Oxford University Press, 2018) and a forthcoming critical-creative book about women and girls in photography. With Stefan Solomon, Beeston coedited the award-winning volume Incomplete: The Feminist Possibilities of the Unfinished Film (University of California Press, 2023).
