Jo Guldi is an associate professor of history at Southern Methodist University. She is PI of a $1 million NSF grant, “The Unaffordable World,” which uses digital methods, among others, to inquire into the history of property rights and affordability. She is also director of Think-Play-Hack, a summer retreat that brings together information science and humanities questions. In 2021, Think-Play-Hack will converge around “The Data of Displacement,” and the retreat will be cohosted with Stanford’s Center for Spatial and Textual History.
