Greg Barnhisel is professor of English at Duquesne University. He is the author of many scholarly books and articles, including Cold War Modernists: Art, Literature, and American Cultural Diplomacy (Columbia University Press, 2015), and has written for the Los Angeles Review of Books, Slate, and the New Republic. He is currently completing a biography of the professor and spy Norman Holmes Pearson.
