Carl Gelderloos teaches German studies at Binghamton University. His first book, Biological Modernism: The New Human in Weimar Culture, received the honorable mention for the 2020 DAAD/German Studies Association Prize for the Best Book in Literature and Cultural Studies. He is currently working on a project on early German science fiction.
