Austin McCoy is an assistant professor of history at West Virginia University. His work has appeared in media outlets including The Washington Post, CNN, Truthout, and The Baffler. Austin is currently working on a history of progressive politics in the Midwest after 1968 and a cultural history of De La Soul.
