Luiz Fernando Dias Duarte was Full Professor of Social Anthropology, National Museum, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. Former Director of the National Museum. He has published extensively on the topic of personhood, through fieldwork concerning family, religion, sexuality, sensibility, life and nature.
